Reading Partners' Refer-a-Friend Books and Brews at Baere Brewing!

Grab some friends and join Reading Partners' Refer-a-Friend event this Thursday. 25 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the national children's literacy organization, which provides one-on-one reading support. Attendees will receive a cold brew and one raffle ticket for every friend brought.

January Family Game Night

Grab your family and hurry down to the nonprofit arts and literacy facility, Pop Culture Classroom, for a night of games. The organization, which aims to aid the cultivation of critical thinking, puzzle solving and more, will provide free access to board games and video games for those who attend.

Hooked on Colfax X Johnny Cupcakes Cake Dealer Pop Up Shop

Hooked on Colfax, a local booze spot and coffee roaster, is teaming up with "t-shirt bakery" Johnny Cupcakes Denver Cake Dealer for a unique pop-up event where Johnny Cupcakes will be selling a variety of its new cupcake-inspired attire. In turn, Hooked on Colfax will be serving up an extensive list of crafted coffees, Colorado beers and more.

New Models for Mental Health Care

The National Mental Health Innovation Center (NMHIC) will showcase Executive Director and founder of the NMHIC, Matt Vogl, who will discuss how the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of mental illnesses are being reimagined through virtual reality technology. 

Following the discussion, Walter Greenleaf, Director of Technology Strategy at NMHIC, will be conducting a live podcast that touches on how emerging augmented reality technologies can influence behavior.

Legislative Advocacy 101

The Colorado Mental Wellness Network will be hosting a free workshop with former Senator Moe Keller that will focus on the legislative process and teach students how to testify for mental health reform.
