The Pittsburgh Pancakes & Booze Art Show

This pop-up art show features more than 75 local Pittsburgh artists, some of whom will be creating their pieces live at the show. Come hungry and nosh on the all-you-can-eat pancake buffet, as well as craft beer and cocktails.  

When: Saturday, Jan. 19, 8 p.m.- Sunday, Jan. 20, 2 a.m.

'Moon Shoot' at Byham Theater

Recreating the Apollo 11 lunar landing and the space race, the play "Moon Shot" unfolds on a 21-square-foot stage to represent NASA's original Mercury capsules. Expect a tense yet humorous journey to the moon that's suitable for ages seven and up.

When: Friday, Jan. 18, 7 p.m., and Sunday Jan. 19, 2 p.m.

'Meridian' at BoxHeart Gallery

Celebrate the opening of artist Stephanie Armbruster's new exhibition "Meridian." Using a torch, Armbruster fuses layers of translucent wax onto canvas. The exhibit's name refers to the way each painting captures a single memory and how those memories may change over time.

'Dwell' at BoxHeart Gallery

Also at BoxHeart Gallery this Sunday night: The debut of Erika Stearly's exhibition "Dwell." Stearly's paintings depict ordinary homes and encourage viewers tquestion who lives in each and what their lives are like.
