A new wine bar has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Le Comptoir du Vin, the new addition is located at 1729 Maryland Ave. in Station North.

The bistro specializes in wine but also offers a variety of French-style small plates. Look for the steak tartare and littleneck clams on the menu. Finish the experience with a maple tart for dessert. Reservations are recommended for a table, but walk-ins are also welcome.

With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Le Comptoir du Vin is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Meghan M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 21, wrote, "This is one of the most delicious meals I've ever had in Baltimore. The atmosphere is laid back. It's a good place for a romantic dinner or a date night with friends. The service is great."

And Rayne O. said, "It's a beautiful set-up and very cozy. I'm excited to keep coming back to try new menu items! The spot offers natural wines that are sure to surprise you. The sourdough bread is definitely a must have."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Le Comptoir du Vin is open from 5:30 p.m.–10 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
