A new bar has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Lucinda Grain Bar, the new addition is located at 2120 N.E. 65th St. (between 21st and North Ravenna avenues) in Ravenna.
This boutique bar is the third site of chef Edouardo Jordan and offers an international variety of grain-based boozes and snacks. Its dinner menu features its Crispy Cereals, which contain rice, legumes, grains and chilis. Customers can also snack on the Barley Brined Wings with chili vinaigrette, and its whole wheat ciabatta press sandwiches, which are served with quinoa, yams and turnip salad.
Beverages include specialty cocktails, including the Rye Negroni, which is made with rye, Cocchi di Torino and Campari.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival has already made a good impression.
Yelper Marie B., who reviewed it on Dec. 10, wrote, “There are apps/bites to whet your appetite, but easily two or three of these cobbled together make a fine meal itself. There are also salads and bowls featuring the various heirloom grains. I chose the Buckwheat Bucatini with the chili oil ragu, ricotta, lemon and fried sage leaves.”
And Debbie P. added, "It is small —four seats at the bar, a few tables and chairs and seating against the window and wall is all you'll get. So get there early (or late, like we did) to make sure you snag a much coveted spot."
Lucinda Grain Bar has yet to post its hours online.
