There's a brand-new bar in town. The fresh arrival to Shady Oaks, called Lucy Cooper's Ice House, is located at 16080 San Pedro Ave.
On the menu, look for offbeat dishes like the bacon on a clothesline; tin can nachos, served in a tin can with both sides removed; and the Krispy Kreme burger, with two Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the place of a bun.
The fresh arrival has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of 20 reviews on Yelp.
Rob C., who reviewed it on Dec. 17, wrote, "This place is amazing! The menu is well thought out and full of interesting and fun items. The bar is stocked and full of everything. Great beer on tap and a huge outside area with fire pits and games galore."
Yelper David M. added, “They take bar food and elevate it to new levels. From their PB&J wings to their tin can nachos, you can't go wrong with any of their food.”
