A new Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and halal spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called CimCim, the new arrival is located at 33-08 Ditmars Blvd. in Steinway.
This Mediterranean spot offers a variety of dishes for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Order one of the restaurant's signature pita sandwiches with either chicken, lamb or falafel. Salads, soups and other plates are also available.
The fresh arrival has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Brittany R. added, “The food is really good and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The beef shawarma was really tasty.”
And Kaitlyn C. wrote, "The portions are huge. They also offer a lot of options to customize your bowl, salad or pita. I got the yellow rice, chicken shawarma with hummus, carrots and beats. I don't know what they spread on their pita, but it's delicious."
