Hungry? A new neighborhood Indian spot has you covered. Called The Roll Pod, the fresh arrival is located at 14125 N.E. 20th St., Suite G, in Overlake.
This Indian fast food chain abides by its "Roll Pod Theory" (a scoop of filling, cilantro-mint chutney, crunchy salad and lemon juice wrapped in a pan-fried egg and wheat roti) to make a variety of rolls, bowls and combo meals. Customers may choose from five vegetarian options and three meat options. (Check out the whole shebang here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, The Roll Pod has been warmly received by patrons.
Pals K., who reviewed it on Jan. 1, wrote, "So glad that they have opened a brick and mortar restaurant in Bellevue. Have always loved the food from their truck, but, living and working on the Eastside, I could not eat there as often as I would like. Their chicken roll is the bomb! Love the mutton rolls too."
Yelper Cauvery K. added, “They are known for their food trucks, but they just opened the doors to a restaurant. The kathi rolls are delicious. I recommend the mushroom masala and mutton roll. The owner is quite friendly and also gave free kulfis!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: The Roll Pod is open from 10:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.–11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
