If pizza is what you're after, look no further than this new pizzeria. Called Old Dominion Pizza Company, the newcomer is located at 4514 Lee Highway — the former home to Upper Crust Pizzeria — in Waverly Hills.

Old Dominion offers two types of pizza: Grandma-style, a thick-crust pizza cut into squares, and New York-style thin crust. Either can be ordered by the whole pie or slice, and diners who order a whole pie can choose to design their own pizza or order a signature recipe.

House pies include "The Warrior," made with grilled chicken, barbecue sauce, red onion, and mozzarella and Monterey jack cheeses; and "The Patriot," with pepperoni, hot honey and fresh oregano.

In addition to pizza, Old Dominion serves Italian hero sandwiches, a couple of salads, plus beer and wine.

The new addition has made a good impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Philip R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 20, wrote, "Thought it was very good. My wife likes Neapolitan pizza, I prefer the old white-bread "American" pizza that I grew up with in the suburbs of Utah; this is a good mix of the two. The crew was friendly, said "hi" to me on the way in, and the young man who helped me was nice and efficient."

And Becky C. wrote, "The New York-style is not New York style — more akin to a Dominos or Papa Johns in terms of crust. The toppings, sauce and cheese were all high-quality though."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Old Dominion Pizza Company is open from 10:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday.
