Millbrook High School's boys' varsity team faced off against Southeast Raleigh High School, with the Millbrook Wildcats' home team advantage paying off in a narrow 82-70 victory over the Bulldogs.

On Monday, Jan. 28, Word of God Christian Academy hosted High Point's Wesleyan Christian Academy for a boys' varsity face-off. The Word of God Rams wrangled a win from the visiting Wesleyan Christian Trojans, 69-46.

Tuesday, Jan. 29 brought another round of local contests, with Millbrook visiting Enloe High School for a boys' varsity game that ended in a victory for Millbrook, 83-64.

Millbrook will take on Leesville Road High School at home on Friday, Feb. 1.

Athens Drive High School's boys' and girls' teams traveled to Cary for a set of matchups against Green Hope High School. The visiting Jaguars drove home satisfied: the boys' team secured a resounding victory against Green Hope, 70-52, and the girls' team topped the opposition in a real nail-biter, 54-52.

Tuesday also saw New Bern High School take the home court against visiting Leesville Road High School for an edge-of-your-seat squeaker that ended with the Leesville Road Pride winning by a single point, 37-36.
