Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top breakfast and brunch spots around Milwaukee, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to fill the bill.

1. Blue's Egg

Topping the list is Blue's Egg. Located at 317 N. 76th St. in Honey Creek Parkway, the traditional American breakfast and brunch spot is the most popular restaurant of its kind in Milwaukee, boasting 4.5 stars out of 1,316 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Joshua L., who reviewed it on Jan. 12, wrote, "First and foremost, the food was delicious with impressive portions. Prices are definitely fair for what you're getting. There was a wide variety of food options, which is a plus. The service was friendly and there was good music playing as well."

2. Café Corazón

Next up is Riverwest's Café Corazón, situated at 3129 N. Bremen St. With 4.5 stars out of 507 reviews on Yelp, the bar and Mexican breakfast and brunch spot has proven to be a local favorite.

Meghan B. said, "I love this location so much. This patio is so great in the summer. I've always had good food here and love their tacos and their brunch. One of my favorite places."

3. Simple Café

Lower East Side's Simple Café, located at 2124 N. Farwell Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the cafe and breakfast and brunch spot, which offers sandwiches and more, 4.5 stars out of 392 reviews.

4. Comet Café

Comet Café, a breakfast and brunch spot that offers salads, sandwiches and more in Lower East Side, is another high-traffic go-to, with four stars out of 1,030 Yelp reviews. Head over to 1947 N. Farwell Ave. to see for yourself.

Sean C. wrote, "There's no shortage of places to get brunch, burgers or mac & cheese in Milwaukee, but few, if any, do it better than Comet. Very reasonably priced with locally sourced, high quality ingredients, Comet offers a wide ranging menu of their takes on American classics that always hit the mark."
