A new spot to score doughnuts and more has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Shipley Do-Nuts, the newcomer is located at 8201 N. Beach St.
Opened since 1936 by founder Lawrence Shipley, the chain has nearly 200 stores and offers up to 60 different donuts. The sweet pastries come with toppings like icing, sprinkles and nuts, and are filled with various fruits and creams. Complement your sweet morning treat with a cup of coffee.
The new addition has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Sandra S., who was the first to review it on Jan. 3, wrote, "Love this place. If you have never been to Shipley, you're missing out. Drive thru option is also available. Best doughnuts and kolaches. You will not be disappointed."
Yelper Mike E. added, “Just opened about a week ago. Friendly staff, they are still trying to get organized though. Doughnuts were great.”
