Free Art Talk: Rudolph Castro
This Saturday, head to Mercado369 for a talk with activist artist Rudolph Castro ahead of the launch of his new exhibition — "Sixty-Two Hours of Travel, Fifty-Nine Years in the South" — at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.
At the free talk, Castro will discuss his project, inspired by conversations he had with families who experienced the violence of military regimes between 1960 and 1990 in Argentina, Chile and Paraguay. Castro will also discuss how art and politics influence one another with panelists Rolando Diaz and Kirk Hopper.
The exhibition, which is free to access, will open at 4 p.m.
