Wondering where to find the best music venues in town?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top music venues in Saint Paul, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture next time you're in the market for music venues.
1. Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

Topping the list is Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Located downtown at 345 Washington St., the music venue, performing arts and opera spot is the highest rated place of its kind in Saint Paul, boasting 4.5 stars out of 48 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Megan H. said, "The Ordway is one of my favorite spots in town to see a show. The antique lamps, red carpet in the entryway and the red curtain on stage create this Victorian romantic feel that adds richness to each performance."
2. Turf Club

Next up is Midway's Turf Club, situated at 1601 University Ave. West. With four stars out of 94 reviews on Yelp, the dive bar, music venue and New American spot has proven to be a local favorite.
Laura M. wrote, "I have heard so many good things about this venue over the years from various sources. Somehow between busy schedules and finding the right show, it took me until last week to finally go. The show and the club were both great!"
3. Big V's

Then there's Midway's Big V's, located at 1567 University Ave. West. It's another top choice, with Yelpers giving the dive bar and music venue four stars out of 15 reviews.
Logan O. wrote, "This is exactly what rock venues should aspire to. Grimy, cheap drinks, no less than three bands every night and usually a cheap cover. And for you scenesters out there, that psychedelic-folk-metal-noise group that will be selling out shows next year and making bloggers freak out has already played here and will be through again shortly. Oh, and their sound system is more than decent."
