Last fall, the Czech Republic celebrated its 100th birthday. As such, the New York Times named Prague, the nation's capital, one of its top destinations in 2018. Bisected by the Vltava River, “the City of a Hundred Spires" is known for its Old Town Square, colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and its medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. Besides the stunning architecture, there are also enough local libations and delightful dishes to appease any traveler.
Thankfully, there are plenty of relatively inexpensive flights between Chicago and Prague. We pulled from travel site Skyscanner to provide you with a short list of flights and hotels handpicked with the trendy adventurer in mind.

What to see and do in Prague
Not sure what to do in Prague, besides eat and drink? Here are a few recommendations, provided by Skyscanner.
The Charles Bridge

First up is The Charles Bridge.
Joining the Lesser Side with Old Town, The Charles Bridge is famously the best spot for viewing the Prague Castle. Thousands of people traverse this cobbled bridge every year in search of magic, Bohemia and possibly the good-luck plaque at the 16th statue.
Prague Castle (Prague 11908)

Then, there's Prague Castle.
Perhaps the most beautiful sight east of Paris, Prague Castle was the original seat of power in Bohemia, the home of Czech royalty. The former royal compound is actually a series of castles, with a cathedral and several gardens and plazas at the center.
"The Prague Castle is beautiful both inside and out and has some of the best views of the city below," wrote visitor P.
Old Town Square

Lastly, spend some time at Old Town Square.
Aptly named for its location in the Old Town quarter of Prague, Old Town Square is the oldest and most populated square in this historic city.
