Ready to hit up the freshest new spots in Modesto? From a sandwich restaurant to a pizzeria, read on for a rundown of the newest hot spots to debut around town.

Ike's Love and Sandwiches

Ike's Love and Sandwiches is a sandwich spot with gluten-free and vegetarian options, that's located at 1707 McHenry Ave., A-1.

The chain restaurant, which has more than 55 locations in Arizona and California, lets customers build their own sandwiches or order off their signature menu. There is the Matt Cain (beef salami, roast beef, turkey and provolone), the Meatless Mike (vegan meatballs, marinara sauce and pepper jack cheese), the Paul Reubens (pastrami, coleslaw, french dressing and Swiss cheese) and more. Make sure to add a side such as fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks or zucchini coins. 

Yelpers are liking the new addition, which currently holds a four-star rating out of 56 reviews.

Mountain Mike's Pizza

Mountain Mike's Pizza is a new spot to score pizza and more that's located at 3601 Pelandale Ave.

Order from the specialty pizzas or create your own pie by picking the crust, sauce and toppings. Specialty pizzas include the Everest (pepperoni, sausage, salami, linguica, beef, mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers and onions) and the Robber's Roost (chicken, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms and green onions in white or red sauce). With three stars on Yelp out of five reviews, Mountain Mike's Pizza is still finding its footing, but it's early days.

Hungry? The new pizzeria is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Kung Fu Tea is a new spot to score bubble tea, coffee, juice and smoothies that's located at 3440 McHenry Ave., Suite D14.
