2019 College Camp - Houston

First, middle and high school students interested in attending college can get tips on how to prepare and pay for higher education with the 2019 College Camp on Saturday at the University of Houston. The bilingual workshop, which is free but registration is required, includes breakout sessions about how to apply to college, choosing the right school, researching financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Students are grouped by grade level and the event will conclude with a motivational address. Lunch and refreshments will be served.

Roller Rink Opening Party

Young Writers Workshop

Kids Mardi Gras Masquerade

Also on Saturday, the Czech Center Museum is hosting the Kids Mardi Gras Masquerade. Participants are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras attire such as purple, green or gold clothing and a crown, a jester hat or masquerade mask - and, of course, beads. Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market 2019

Lastly, stop by the Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market on Sunday at 2011 Leeland St. The event will feature influential elements of Hip Hop through graffiti, DJs, MCs, while more than 30 vendors will have clothing, shoes, toys and other items available for purchase. To take care of lunch, there will be food trucks on site.
