A new Vietnamese spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. The new addition to the Cascade, called Mala & Satay, is located at 210 Fairview Ave. North.
This Asian fusion restaurant offers signature phở bowls like the house Malay phở with Szechuanese peppercorn-infused broth, broccoli, beef and brisket; and the Satay phở with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, beef and brisket.
Other house signature takes on classic dishes include the chicken bánh mì with house aioli or the tofu bánh mì with bell peppers and onion. There's also a custom creation option, where visitors can craft their own meal. Here's the menu.
The new arrival has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Shelby L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 1, wrote, "I was awaiting the opening for Mala Satay ever since they put their sign up. This is a Vietnamese restaurant featuring pho, bánh mì and vermicelli bowls."
Mala & Satay offers its fast casual morning service from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and its full dine-in menu from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
