Spectacularly Solid Reception

First up is this celebration of contemporary quilt making from the good folks at Arlington CostumeLab and the DC Modern Quilt Guild. They've put together an exhibition of solid-colored fabrics, which bring out the pure qualities of color and result in quilts that can be everything from bold and bright, or muted and monotone.

The Book of Mermen

The Philadelphia-based Mask and Wig Club is the oldest all-male collegiate musical comedy troupe in the United States. For their 131st performance, they're taking on "The Book of Mermen," the comedic story of a submarine crew on their way back from a five-year expedition around the world. Washington-Liberty High School Theater plays host.

The Addams Family Musical

Finally, Chalice Theatre is presenting this Broadway musical about the time when Wednesday decided to have her "normal" beloved over to dinner. How will less-than-normal Moritica, Gomez and Uncle Fester handle the news? Find out at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
