USGBC-NCR Green Tie Affair 2019

First, check out the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) - NCR Green Tie Affair on Thursday at the District Winery. Overlooking the Anacostia River Boardwalk, guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar, which will include local craft beers and wines made on site. The event's theme is "Sub-zero" to recognize the work being done in the community to reduce energy, carbon and waste. Proceeds will support the local education, advocacy and community outreach initiatives of the USGBC.

Hampton Alumni Black History Month Mixer

Next, Hampton University alumni are encouraged to celebrate Black History Month together on Friday at The Park on Fourteenth. Proceeds from the event will benefit the university. Admission to the event is free but dinner and bottle service is available for purchase. To view the venue's menu or for more information on it, click here.

Lunchbag Social 

Then, help prepare and deliver a meal, toiletry items or clothing to the city's homelessness community with the "Lunchbag Social" on Sunday at The Gryphon. While the event is free, the organizer requests all participants to bring one donation such as lunchmeat, fruit, socks and more. The goal is to prepare 1,000 lunch and personal care bag for the homeless in D.C.

Snowed Inn

And finally, groove to fun tunes, devour a wide range of refreshments, enjoy unlimited drinks and raise money for a great cause at the "Snowed Inn" ski party with The Children's Inn at NIH on Saturday. There will also be a silent auction, games and the opportunity to create a small gift to lift the spirits of a child staying at The Children's Inn.
