Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top pizza outlets, using both Yelp data and our own blend of spices to produce a ranked list of the best places to venture — or to call — on National Pizza Day.
1. Pupatella
Topping the list is Pupatella. Located at 5104 Wilson Blvd. in Bluemont, the casual Italian restaurant, which offers wood-fired pizza and gelato, is the most popular spot for pizza in Arlington, boasting four stars out of 1,750 reviews on Yelp.
2. The Italian Store
Next up is North Highland's The Italian Store, situated at 3123 Lee Highway. With four stars out of 893 reviews on Yelp, the deli has proven to be a local favorite for take-out pizzas.
3. Lost Dog Café & Gourmet Pizza Deli
North Arlington's Lost Dog Café & Gourmet Pizza Deli, located at 5876 Washington Blvd., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving it four stars out of 650 reviews.
4. Fire Works Pizza
Fire Works Pizza in Courthouse, is another go-to, with four stars out of 633 Yelp reviews. Head over to 2350 Clarendon Blvd. to see for yourself.
5. Extreme Pizza
Finally, over in Aurora Highlands, check out Extreme Pizza, which has earned four stars out of 390 reviews on Yelp. You can find the spot to score pizza, salads and sandwiches at 1419 S. Fern St.
