An Evening of Latinx Literature
Tonight: Celebrate the achievements of Latinx authors at the Milagro theater. This free, publicly accessible event for the Association of Writers and Writing Programs national conference will honor contributors to the upcoming Latina Outsiders Remaking Latina Identity anthology and feature poetry readings by Latinx poets from across the Americas.

Tender Table: Stories about food, community and identity
This Thursday, join Tender Table for a night of readings by women, trans men and nonbinary people who are black, indigenous or people of color. This edition features Amy Lam, Ashley Toliver and Diana Khoi Nguyen, who'll present stories about food, community and identity.

A Vision: Readings with Michelle Tea & Guests
Come Friday, join the community at Psychic Sister for a night of readings curated by Michelle Tea, author of the essay collection "Against Memoir" and the book "Modern Tarot." The event will feature the work of artists, poets and authors like Brontez Purnell, Sassafras Lowrey, Nicole J. Georges and more cult favorites.

Write_On 2019 Kickoff Party
Finally, be prepared to write this Sunday afternoon to help kick off National Letter Writing Month. At the Write_On Challenge, which aims to build community through letter writing, participants will receive a 2019 Write_On Card, postage and a Gelly Roll pen with their reservation. While crafting their letters, writers can also enjoy Smith Tea pastries and coffee and mimosas from Union Wine, and browse vintage postage stamps available for purchase.
