We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to uncover which eateries have been getting a noteworthy increase in attention this month.

To find out who made the list, we looked at Las Vegas businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month, and tracked businesses that consistently increase their volume of reviews to identify statistically significant outliers compared to past performance.

Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse & Revolving Sushi

Open since 2017, this steakhouse and conveyor belt sushi and teppanyaki spot is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "Steakhouses" on Yelp.

Citywide, steakhouses saw a median 2 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, but Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse & Revolving Sushi saw an imposing 131.7 percent increase, maintaining a sound 4.5-star rating throughout.

It's not the only trending outlier in the steakhouse category: Outback Steakhouse has seen a 6.1 percent increase in reviews.

Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Downtown Las Vegas' Santos Guisados Tacos & Beer, the bar and Mexican spot is a hot topic according to Yelp review data.

While businesses categorized as "Mexican" on Yelp saw a median 3.5 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, Santos Guisados Tacos & Beer bagged an 86.1 percent increase in new reviews within that time frame, maintaining a solid 4.5-star rating.

There's more that's trending on Las Vegas' Mexican scene: Frijoles & Frescas has seen a 15.3 percent increase in reviews, and La Cabaña has seen a 11.9 percent bump.

Open at 616 E. Carson Ave., Suite #140, since February, Santos Guisados Tacos & Beer offers nachos, tacos and more on its menu.

90 Ninety Bar + Grill

Westside's 90 Ninety Bar + Grill is also making waves. Open since 2018 at 9090 Alta Drive, the pub, cocktail bar and New American spot has seen a 10.5 percent bump in new reviews over the last month, compared to a median review increase of 2.4 percent for all businesses tagged "American (New)" on Yelp. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis 90 Ninety Bar + Grill's review count increased by more than 1,100 percent.

There's more than one hot spot trending in Las Vegas' New American category: Downtown Terrace has seen a 3.4 percent increase in reviews, and Flower Child and 7th & Carson have seen 7.6 and 7.2 percent increases, respectively.

90 Ninety Bar + Grill offers modern cuisine, cocktails, beer and live music. Over the past month, it's seen its Yelp rating improve from four stars to 4.5 stars.

Eureka!

Downtown Las Vegas' Eureka! is the city's buzziest breakfast and brunch spot by the numbers.

The well-established cocktail bar and traditional American and breakfast and brunch spot, which opened at 520 E. Fremont St. in 2009, increased its new review count by 8.6 percent over the past month, an outlier when compared to the median new review count of 2.7 percent for the Yelp category "Breakfast & Brunch." It outperformed the previous month by gaining 2.6 times more reviews than expected based on past performance.

It's not the only trending outlier in the breakfast and brunch category: Rooster Boy Cafe has seen a 12.8 percent increase in reviews, and Pacific Island Taste and Pancho's Kitchen have seen 11.8 and 4.4 percent increases, respectively.

Downtown's popular Esther's Kitchen is currently on the upswing in the pizza category on Yelp.

While businesses categorized as "Pizza" on Yelp saw a median 3.2 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, this cocktail bar and Italian spot, which offers pizza and more, increased its by 8.5 percent—and kept its rating consistent at 4.5 stars.

There's more abuzz in the world of Las Vegas pizza: Amano has seen a 6.4 percent increase in reviews, and Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza has seen a 6.3 percent bump.

Open for business at 1130 S. Casino Center Blvd. since 2018, Esther's Kitchen specializes in homemade pasta and pizza.
