A new spot to score desserts, ice cream and frozen yogurt and specialty food has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Churroholic, the fresh addition is located at 9144 Prestmont Place.

The highlight here is the restaurant's namesake, the churro. It is served with sandwiches, ice cream, a sundae, as breakfast bites or by itself. However, the spot, which serves Asian fusion fare, also offers noodle dishes and soups, fried rice platters and a bevy of bubble tea, coffee, smoothie and milkshake options.

Churroholic has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Mia S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 13, wrote, "So good. The first time I went I ordered the churro+ice cream with an original churro and cookie monster ice cream. ... The churro was hot and fresh and was amazing. The cookie monster ice cream was really good as well and has bits of cookie dough and Oreo on it."

And Shiela M. wrote, "I didn't try the bubble tea, but the food was yummy. We had Shrimp Pad See Ew (which had Chinese Broccoli), Chicken Fried Rice, Red Chili Wings, Vietnamese Coffee and Cookies and Cream churro."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Churroholic is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday-Sunday.

It’s wine o’clock somewhere.
