A new Mediterranean spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called CAVA, the fresh arrival is located at 345 Adams St. in Downtown Brooklyn.
The restaurant — which has locations throughout the country — offers build-your-own bowls, salads and pitas. For your protein, choose between falafel, grilled chicken, braised lamb or braised beef. Add toppings, like tomato and cucumber salad or pickled onions and cabbage slaw. Then select a dressing from options like lemon herb tahini, sriracha Greek yogurt, yogurt dill and more. (Check out the full menu here.)
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, CAVA seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Alicia C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 25, wrote, "I got a bowl of greens and grains with a mixture of super greens, brown rice and black lentils. Then pick your protein. A huge variety of add-on toppings and assorted sauces. It was a filling meal. I got chicken but can't wait to try the lamb."
Yelper Anya T. added, “I had the Greens and Grain bowl with the splendid greens, brown rice and lentils as a base. Next, I added braised lamb and chicken. There were delicious dipping sauces (I had hummus, tzatziki and red pepper hummus) and plenty of unlimited add-ons. My meal was hefty, filling, delicious and very fresh. I'd definitely go again. The lemonade from the machine was sweet and delicious.”
