If you've got Mediterranean on the mind, a recent opening is need to know. Called Crepiano Cafe, the new addition is located at 3401 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 103, in Irving's Belt Line.

The cafe serves soups, salad, sandwiches, crepes and entrees of lamb, beef, chicken, steak and seafood. Diners can choose the lamb shish kebab or the chicken shish tawook, each of which comes with rice and a side of soup or salad, or they can opt for the hawashi or kufta kebab sandwiches. Wash it all down with any one of the Mediterranean drinks up for grabs, such as a sahlab, faryoz or laziz. (To view the full menu, click here.)

With a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Crepiano Cafe has already made a good impression.

Melissa R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 16, wrote, "Come in, sit down and let the lovely couple that owns the place take your order, and get ready. It's gonna be a good time. The hummus was amazing. The dolmas were everything I could want them to be. The falafel was crispy and delicious ... By the way, they deliver."

Yelper Lanna L. added, “I had the chicken shish tawook and my friend had the chicken shawarma. We both had tabouli as our side salad. The tabouli was quite heavy on the parsley and very tasty. My dish was a little dry (kebab), but still quite flavorful. It was a nice surprise. We will definitely go back again!”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Crepiano Cafe is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
