DC Audubon Society Bird Walk at the National Arboretum
The Audubon Society's D.C. chapter invites bird lovers to join this free walk through the National Arboretum. With any luck, participants will catch site of raptors, woodpeckers, chickadees, or maybe even the bald eagles known as "Mr. President" and "First Lady."

Volunteer: Community Tree Planting at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center
Volunteer to plant some much-needed shade trees around the Turkey Thicket Recreation Center, a D.C. Parks and Rec site in Brookland. Volunteers under age 18 are welcome to join with an adult chaperone.

Cherry Blossom/Springtime Harbor Cruise
Big discounts are now available on a Potomac River cruise. These hour-long trips pass by key D.C. monuments, as well as the soon-to-bloom cherry trees along the tidal basin. Snacks and drinks are always available onboard as well.

Castle to Capitol: Architecture of Iconic Buildings on the National Mall
