James Steinle: Live Recording at Hole in the Wall

First, country and folk singer, and Texas native, James Steinle is performing a live set, which will be recorded and released as a live album, on Friday at The Hole in the Wall. Catch as many as 15 different heavy metal bands playing on Saturday at the Texas Independence Fest at Come and Take It Live. Some of groups scheduled to appear include The Agony Scene, Impending Doom, Waking the Cadaver, Bodysnatcher, Earth Groans and Far From Nothing.

The Adolescents with Neighborhood Brats and Youth Large at the Barracuda

American punk rock band the Adolescents is playing Saturday at the Barracuda. Since forming as a group in 1980, the Adolescents, "have become one of the most influential punk bands of their time, providing the blueprint for skate-punk and hardcore bands in their wake from Blink-182 to Pennywise," wrote songkick.com. 

Neighborhood Brats and Youth Large are the supporting acts.

ATJS presents The Jim Cullum Jazz Band

On Sunday, legendary jazz musician Jim Cullum brings his band to the Capitol City Comedy Club for an evening of swing music and dancing. Cullum has been playing jazz, and the cornet, for more than 40 years and performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Austin City Limits. The Jim Cullum Jazz Band is "an acoustic seven-piece jazz ensemble that has been featured nationally on their weekly radio series, Riverwalk Jazz," according to Wikipedia.

COMBICHRIST
