Join WUWM and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Center for 21st Century Studies for an evening of audio history with Liz Covart, the host of the widely-popular podcast on the American Revolution, Ben Franklin’s World. Along with WUWM Lake Effect host Mitch Teich, Covart will discuss how podcasting is helping a new generation of history buffs learn about the Founding Fathers.

Guerrero will speak about her memoir, In the Country We Love, where she details her life as the citizen-daughter of undocumented parents and her long struggle dealing with the consequences of the broken immigration system.

Join us for an open house at Havenwoods State Forest in Milwaukee! You can chat with Larry Meiller and other WPR staff over coffee and pastries while exploring all the nature center has to offer. There will also be live music from PK Harmony, guided nature hikes with the Havenwoods naturalists, arts and crafts, yard games and more!
