Not three blocks from longtime favorite Rasika, Punjab Grill adds another take on high-end Indian cuisine for the Downtown crowd. Small plates include a flight of chutneys, but also caviar. A tandoor oven is used to bake dishes like tiger prawns and Cornish hen.

The elegant decor is enhanced by intricate screens, tables and other elements handmade in Indian and shipped in specifically for this restaurant. The long marble bar with mother-of-pearl inlay — also shipped in from India — is a sumptuous spot to order cocktails, wine and Indian beer.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the new grill is on its way to developing a local fan base.
