A new rooftop bar with views of downtown has made its debut in Tampa Heights. Called M. Bird, the newcomer is located at 1903 Market St. at Armature Works.
The 21-and-over spot serves up an extensive list of tropical cocktails, including the classic mai tai and the Hemingway Daiquiri. Pair your drink with small plates such as a pork burger, steak tartare and mofongo bites. Take a look at the full menu here.
M. Bird has received mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of 21 reviews on Yelp.
Brian M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 7, wrote, "M. Bird serves nine custom cocktails for $10–$13, seven draft beers for $5 and eight glasses of wine for $7–$10. I highly recommend the cocktail called I Left My Wallet at La Segunda, which has quite a unique cracker garnishment."
Yelper Kimberly W. added, “I really enjoyed the views and the style of the restaurant overall. The drinks were really good and the prices were reasonable. Be prepared for small plates at large plate prices, but the food tastes pretty good."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: M. Bird is open from 4 p.m.–1 a.m. on Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m.-midnight on Sunday.
