Interested in adopting a pet — or just gazing at some cuddly canines? There are dozens of darling dogs up for adoption at animal shelters in and around Las Vegas.

Animal shelters work hard to care for unhoused pets and connect them to loving homes. Hoodline used data from Petfinder to power this roundup of dogs currently available for adoption.

Maci, Belgian shepherd

Maci is a female Belgian shepherd dog currently residing at Those Left Behind Foundation.

Maci plays well with others — she'll get along great with other dogs. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she's been spayed. She has mastered her house training etiquette.

From Maci's caretaker:

Maci is a young girl with a lot of potential! She would do well with someone that understands the breed, because she came into rescue without much training. She does have a lot of energy and is a sweet girl.

Star, pit bull terrier mix

Star is a female pit bull terrier mix staying at A Home 4 Spot.

She has all of her shots, and she's been spayed. She has mastered her house training etiquette.

From Star's caretaker:

At approximately 2yrs of age, little Star found herself wandering in a stranger’s front yard, far from her home. Star was then taken to Animal Foundation where her family did not show up to bring her home. Star is such a happy and beautiful little girl and the stranger wanted to be sure Star would be okay so they reached out to A Home 4 Spot who brought her into rescue. This friendly girl likes to run and play in the kiddie pool, she enjoys her exercise or walk followed by a nice nap. Although friendly, Star can get a bit nervous when small children are running around playing and making a lot of noise so a home with older, mature, children is necessary. As far as other pets and we are still getting to know Star but she does seem possibly receptive towards meeting other dogs.

Picola, shepherd mix

Picola is a female shepherd mix being cared for at A Home 4 Spot.

Picola is a social animal — she'll get along great with other dogs. She's already vaccinated, and she's been spayed.

From Picola's caretaker:

Picola is a sweet three year old, twenty kilo girl in need of a forever home. We think she is a cattle dog and shepherd mix that was found on the street after her owner passed away. She is a very laid back girl just wanting some love!

Delilah, terrier mix

Delilah is a female terrier mix currently housed at A Home 4 Spot.

Delilah is ready to make friends — she'll get along great with other dogs. Her vaccinations are already up to date, and she's been spayed. Good news: she is already house trained.

From Delilah's caretaker:

Delilah! This beautiful little terrier is looking for a new forever home after misplacing her old one. She has an adorable personality, is very affectionate and is such a clever girl. Delilah is only one years old and 11 pounds so plenty of time to teach her new tricks! She is good with dogs her size and she loves toys and chasing a ball. She is shy at first but warms up quickly. She needs work on leash training which we will work on this week. So far she is doing well with her house training and rides well in a car.
