Guatemalan Masks Opening Party

You're invited to a party at the Fowler Museum on Saturday to celebrate the premiere of the exhibit, "Guatemalan Masks: Selections from the Jim and Jeanne Pieper Collection." The event includes cocktails, live music and a tour of the collection, which features masks from all parts of Guatemalan life.

TRASHed Coachella: Art of Recycling Opening Night Exhibit 

Even if you are not headed to Coachella next month, you can still get a sneak peek at the one-of-a kind recycling bins that will be on-site.  For the 16th consecutive year, Global Inheritance has teamed with local artists to turn the ordinary bins into something beautiful. After the festival, the bins will be donated to local schools.

Japanese Artist Roundtable 

Make time on Sunday for this roundtable discussion about art in Japan in the 80s and 90s. Art historian Mika Yoshitake will moderate a panel that includes artists Kenjiro Okazaki, Yukinori Yanagi and Kenji Yanobe. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.
