Meet Hazel! Hazel is a 8-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux/ boxer mix. She is 60 pounds but still needs to gain some weight. Hazel recently had cancer removed from her legs, she is healing nicely. Hazel is the most loyal dog you will meet, she loves her humans and is eager to please. Hazel is potty trained and crate trained. I have never met a dog that loves walks quite as much as Hazel. She loves everyone she meets including children. Hazel has a ball/toy obsession so although she loves kids she should not live with them unless they have no toys. Hazel can be very pushy with other dogs so she would do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog. She is in foster care with two other dogs. Hazel would do fine with a very dog savvy cat. She has cats in her foster home but does like to chase them. Whoever adopts Hazel will be one lucky family.

Latte is a winsome female border terrier mix staying at Canine Cupids.

Meet Latte! Latte is a sweet and laid back 3 year old boarder terrier mix. Her favorite activities include taking naps, playing with her toys and taking more naps. She is a very sweet girl who is shy at first, but once she warms up she will lay at your feet and follow you around the house. She is very good at letting you know when she needs to go outside or is hungry, she gives you a good howl or a pat on the leg. Latte has not had an easy life so far and is looking for a forever home with people that she can trust. She currently lives in a home with two older dogs, she does well but is still learning about sharing toys and food. She has adapted very well so far, she loves to cuddle in bed with the other dogs and her foster humans. She would prefer to be in a home where she isn’t left alone for too long of a period by her self. Latte is fully potty trained, but doesn’t care for being contained in a crate. Latte would prefer to have a mellow dog as a companion or to be the only dog in the home. She would also do best in a home without young children but would do well with teenagers who could understand that she needs her space sometimes.

Meet Sasha! Sasha (aka Sasha-bear) is a 9-year-old German Shepard Mix, but don’t let that number fool you. She is an energetic girl with tons of skills. Although she might be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly, especially with a treat or two. Sasha knows many commands, including sit, down, shake (or paw) and has been working on target touching. She also enjoys showing off her mad ball catching skills. She is incredibly smart and is very food motivated, so I have no doubt that she will learn many new tricks. She loves walks and is working on leash manners. If the elements don’t allow for walks, she is happy with several toy tosses or tug-of-war games, then happily curls up on her bed and enjoys scratches and belly rubs. She is very loving and enjoys all of the affection you can give her. Sasha has impeccable manners and will wait to eat her breakfast/dinner until she is given the command, “OK”. She rarely jumps up and will never counter surf or eat your favorite pair of sneakers. How can I be so sure? I have left freshly made waffles within reach on the counter, left the room, and they were all there when I returned. She has gone over night and been alone with countless shoes and rugs. She really only wants her toys. She enjoys talking, and will vocalize and chatter her teeth when she’s excited, but she doesn’t bark often. She is completely house-trained and would prefer to either have free-roam, or be gated in one room while her humans are away. When you return, she will greet you with a toy in her mouth and full-body wiggles.

Boss is capable of sneaking food off the counter and likes to pull while loose leash walking so he will need a family willing to work on his manners. She has been exposed to children and does well, young and old, but because she is so full of puppy energy she will easily knock them over if not paying attention. Sox loves to go for long walks, loves playing fetch with her squeaky ball, and enjoys a good swim once in a while. Even with all this energy, Sox loves to snuggle and is very happy when she is up on the couch with her people, snoring away. She loves her toys and antlers and will play well independently or with you. She has no issues being in a crate for longer periods of time as long as she can go outside right when she is let out. Sox is continually working on her commands of sit, stay, off, up, come, lay down, and take it nice. She is super smart, very treat motivated, and looks to her person for direction with great eye contact. She will continue to need plenty of attention, training, and daily exercise once in her forever home.
