Jake, rat terrier

Jake is an adorable male rat terrier dog currently housed at Washington German Shepherd Rescue.

Jake plays well with others — he'll get along great with your cats and dogs. He already has all of his shots, and he's neutered. He is already house-trained.

Jake's current caretakers say:

Meet Jake! Jake has had a rough start in life. We couldn’t say no to this little ball of cuteness, so we are doing everything we can to find this little guy a forever home. Jake is an 8-year-old rat terrier and weighs 11 pounds. Jake has lived with cats, kittens and large and small dogs. He enjoys playing with other dogs. He will also cuddle with the cats and shows no prey drive to cats or kittens at all. Jake has also been around livestock. He loves the dog park and loves riding in the car. Jake is crate-trained and very smart. He wants to please and loves praise and treats. We are unsure as to his background, but we believe there was some type of abuse in his past, so a kind, patient person is best. Jake has not lived with children, so a single or adult couple is needed, please.

Dorothy, Staffordshire bull terrier and American bulldog mix

Dorothy is a charming female Staffordshire bull terrier and American bulldog mix staying at Dog Gone Seattle.

Dorothy is looking for a cat-free household. She's already house-trained. She has all of her shots, and she's spayed.

Notes from Dorothy's caretakers:

Dorothy is a 3-year-old American Bully mix who is a real hoot! She absolutely loves all people, loves to snuggle and hang out on the couch and enjoys leisurely walks through the neighborhood. She just loves to meet new people, get pets and play in the yard. She is house trained, and her foster mom reports that she is super quiet and calm in her crate. Dorothy is currently being fostered by a dog trainer, so she is getting a great head start on her basic manners and commands. She would do best with a dog-savvy family who will provide her with structure and continued training. Dorothy is so sweet and well-behaved when out and about.

Lilly, pit bull terrier and pointer mix

Lilly is a charming female pit bull terrier and pointer mix being cared for at Dog Gone Seattle.

Fear not: She's already house-trained. She is spayed, and she has all her shots.

Lilly's current caretakers say:

When she was in foster care, her foster described her as a sweet, playful girl who loves all people she meets. She had great leash manners and was crate trained, loved to fetch and was active. She showed interest in learning to swim, and was living with another dog and cat. Lilly was curious, but very polite with the kitty in her foster home and we think she could do fine living with a dog-savvy cat. The family that has had her for the past six months has worked on her basic obedience and trick training as well and reports she loves to hike, play tug-of-war, is house-trained and crate-trained. They say she will do best with an active family and a fenced yard.

No other family was able to take Blitz into their home due to allergies. Blitz has been well cared for and well loved. He is crate-trained and has excellent house manners. Blitz loves to watch TV and loves to sit and keep an eye on the family. He is also excellent in the car. Blitz was raised with a 9-year-old boy. He was not raised with any other dogs or small dogs or cats. Blitz gets along with other large dogs and is fostered with another German shepherd.
