Craving pizza? Help is on the way to Five Points, as popular local catering company Mountain Crust is set to celebrate the grand opening of its first brick-and-mortar location this Wednesday, May 15.
The new Mountain Crust location will bring eats to an already-existing drinking destination, sharing space with Ironton Distillery at 3636 Chestnut Place.
Starting this week, Mountain Crust will begin serving a selection of wood-fired pizzas, seasonal salads, and appetizers like the "campfire" baked brie, charred Brussels sprouts, and chef's board selection of meats and cheeses.
When it comes to pizza, pies range from a classic Margarita (housemade tomato sauce, sliced mozzarella, fresh basil) to the Breckenridge Bomb (housemade tomato sauce with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, red onions, bell peppers and classic cheese blend) to the Mushroom Mountain (fontina cream sauce with a roasted mushroom mix, bacon, caramelized onions, fresh rosemary and drizzle of truffle oil). Check out the full menu here.
Mountain Crust's grand opening will take place from 3-10 p.m. on Wednesday. In addition to live bluegrass from Ghost Town Drifters, it'll feature a tasty 50% off all pizzas, so stop by if you're looking to sample the new spot.
