The Nebraska State Soccer Association Diversity Committee, in partnership with philanthropic partner Football for the World Foundation USA, is hosting the first annual Women in Sport Symposium on Saturday at the Harper Center on the campus of Creighton University. The purpose of the event is to identify, engage and provide resources for individuals working in the sports community to eliminate barriers for women and girls in sports. The event will provide a forum for those working in sports to better understand the challenges women and girls face and provide the tools to help women and girls overcome those challenges. Kacey Bellamy, an author and three-time Olympic medalist with the U.S. ice hockey team, is the keynote speaker.

When: Saturday, May 4, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Yoga Rocks the Park, 2019

Yoga Rocks the Park-Omaha is a weekly festival featuring an outdoor, all-levels 60-minute yoga class — beginners are welcome — live music and community artists/healers. Parents are invited to bring their little yogis for Camp YRP, a kid’s yoga class designed specifically for ages 4-10.
