A new vegan-friendly spot offering pizza and gelato has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Federal Hill, called TinyBrickOven, is located at 1036 Light St.
According to Southbmore.com, this new spot offers crispy pizzas made from homemade dough. In addition to vegan options, the menu features bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage and other toppings. The owner, Will Fagg, operated the business from food festivals before finding the perfect location to open his brick-and-mortar shop.
TinyBrickOven has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Zach K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 18, wrote, "Lovely pizza shop with a killer vegan sausage pizza. Eat late and don't hate yourself. Makes the vegan cheese in-house. Can't beat it."
Yelper Bryce W. added, “I'd place TinyBrickOven firmly between Neapolitan and NY-style. The dough is nice and crispy. The sauce has a nice kick of garlic. These pies don't skimp on cheese as some Neapolitan pies might. The pepperoni gets a bit of char in the oven, which I like quite a bit!"
Head on over to check it out: TinyBrickOven is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Wednesday and Sunday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Thursday and 11 a.m.–3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
