Wondering where Dallas's insiders are eating and drinking? It's easy to spot lines out the door, but some underlying trends are harder to see.
We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to analyze which restaurants have been getting a notable increase in attention this month.
To find out who made the list, we looked at Dallas businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month, and tracked businesses that consistently increase their volume of reviews to identify statistically significant outliers compared to past performance.
Read on to see which spots have the momentum heading into summer.
Bitter End

Open since February, this bar is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "Bars" on Yelp.
Citywide, bars saw a median 2.2 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, but Bitter End saw a 71.4 percent increase, with a slight upward trend from a 3.5-star rating a month ago to four stars today. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis Bitter End's review count increased by more than 500 percent.
Located at 2826 Elm St. in Northeast Dallas, Bitter End offers light bites and finger food, such as fried calamari, mesquite wood fired wings, hot beef and chicken sliders and a New York-style lobster roll. Also, look for signature cocktails like the Hepburn (vodka, raspberry, lemon and lavender bitters and bubbles) and the Ziggy Stardust (rum, Maraschino Liqueur, grapefruit and lime). Banh Mi Station

Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Eagle Ford's Banh Mi Station, the Vietnamese and Asian fusion spot, which offers sandwiches and more, is a hot topic according to Yelp review data.
