Ending Summer Hunger: A Community Conversation
From the event description:
Join United Way of King County and community leaders for a conversation to end summer hunger. Learn how you can connect low-income kids and teens in your community with nutritious meals this summer. Nearly 100,000 students in King County rely on free and reduced-price meals during the school year. Summer can be an especially uncertain time for these kids and teens. While the federal Free Summer Meals program provides free meals and hands-on activities at more than 200 sites in King County, the program is under-utilized. We’re excited to bring together partners from across the region to kick-off this year’s Free Summer Meals program, with an emphasis on connecting more families to this critical resource.
When: Wednesday, June 12, 9-10:30 a.m.
