We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to uncover which eateries have been getting extra notice this month.
To find out who made the list, we looked at Denver businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month, and tracked businesses that consistently increased their volume of reviews to identify statistically significant outliers compared to past performance.

Tom's Urban
Open since last November, this New American restaurant is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "American (New)" on Yelp.
Citywide, New American spots saw a median 1.4% increase in new reviews over the past month, but Tom's Urban saw a 28.6% increase, maintaining a two-star rating throughout.
Located at 8300 Pena Blvd. in Denver International Airport, Tom's Urban serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The menu features classic comfort and street food, such as nachos, hot wings and sliders, as well as handcrafted cocktails.
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, the breakfast and brunch spot is a hot topic according to Yelp review data.
While businesses categorized as "Breakfast & Brunch" on Yelp saw a median 2.1% increase in new reviews over the past month, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery bagged a 10.4% increase in new reviews within that time frame, maintaining a healthy 4.5-star rating.

Birdcall
Southeast Denver's Birdcall is also making waves. Open since August 2018 at 1535 E. Evans Ave., the quick-service restaurant has seen an 11.2% bump in new reviews over the last month, compared to a median review increase of 3.4% for all businesses tagged "Sandwiches" on Yelp. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis, Birdcall's review count increased by more than 200%.
Birdcall specializes in chicken sandwiches, tenders and salads. The menu features Jamaican jerk chicken, a chicken Reuben and a chicken Caesar salad, as well as a crispy tofu sandwich. Over the past month, it's maintained a superior four-star rating among Yelpers.
