A new food delivery service spot, offering sandwiches and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1177 Bishop St., Courtyard of Hawaiian Telcom Building in Downtown, the new arrival is called Timmy T's Gourmet Grinders.
The menu features subs like the Ono Tuna (tuna, sweet onion celery, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mayo and Ono secret sauce) and the Pacific Pastrami (a quarter pound of pastrami, Dijon, cheese, mayo, lettuce, pickle chips and red onions).
Each sandwich can also be made in a lettuce wrap; homemade cookies and chips are also available.
With a four-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, Timmy T's Gourmet Grinders has made a promising start.
Rhea A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 21, wrote, "For my first visit, I went for Bird of Paradise. It's basically a turkey sandwich with veggies. The sandwich was 'onolicous' and the bread, for me, was the best part. It was a Hawaiian-style roll that was soft and it was almost as sweet as sweet bread."
And Debbie R. wrote, "You had me at 'Jumbo Dill Pickle' for a mere $1.69, Timmy T's. The workers here are very friendly and I love the fact that they 'toss' the sandwich at ya when it's ready."
Head on over to check it out: Timmy T's Gourmet Grinders is open from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
