Citywide, breakfast and brunch spots saw a median 1.6 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, but Bacon & Butter saw a 20.5 percent increase, maintaining a strong four-star rating throughout.

Located at 3839 J St. in East Sacramento, Bacon & Butter offers seasonal and sustainable cuisine, serving up breakfast staples like pancakes and waffles, as well as the biscuit sandwich with bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and egg on a griddled biscuit.

Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Richmond Grove's The Snug, the bar is a hot topic according to Yelp review data.

While businesses categorized as "Bars" on Yelp saw a median 1.9 percent increase in new reviews over the past month, The Snug bagged a 12.8 percent increase in new reviews within that timeframe, maintaining a sound four-star rating.

The steakhouse and seafood spot, which offers salads and more and opened at 1785 Challenge Way in December, increased its new review count by 19.6 percent over the past month, an outlier when compared to the median new review count of 1.9 percent for the Yelp category "Seafood." It outperformed the previous month by gaining 1.2 times more reviews than expected based on past performance.

The chain has seafood options such as grilled salmon, jumbo crispy shrimp and grilled shrimp skewers. It also serves a tri-tip sirloin, New York strip and ribeye steak and includes a large salad bar.
