A new Mediterranean, Catalan and Italian spot has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located in the Whitney Hotel at 170 Charles St. in Beacon Hill, the fresh arrival is called Peregrine.

Black pepper and truffle tagliatelle, and steak with rosemary garlic potatoes, shallots and fennel seed are featured on the menu, as well as wild Chatham mussels and local clams in tomato, olive oil and mint.

Peregrine has gotten off to a strong start thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Adrienne Z., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 6, wrote, "The Sicilian pizza appetizer was incredible. The braised chicken tagliatelle was also so delicious. The wine list has great variety, as do the cocktails."

Yelper Elizabeth B. added, “We started with the anchovy focaccia with cultured butter, which was delicious, and the parmigiana and honey, also excellent.”
