New Saint Petersburg Greek spot, Baba On Central, opens its doorsPhoto: Uyen D./Yelp

Hungry? A new neighborhood Greek spot has you covered. The fresh addition, called Baba On Central, is located at 2701 Central Ave.

The eatery specializes in Greek and Lebanese food, and it has plenty of outdoor seating. On the menu, expect to see staples like baklava, bougatsa (a phyllo pastry filled with lemon curd) and mezze with hummus, babaganoush, tabouleh and more.

The new arrival has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Christine L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 11, wrote, "Happy to have a delicious, affordable Mediterranean place in St. Pete! Order the souvlaki platter with chicken thighs. It is delicious. And it comes with fried piece of dough."

Yelper Uyen D. added, “Everything in the bakery looked amazing—items included spanakopita, baklava and Bougatsa! They had a full-range coffee bar with cappuccino, fredo (iced espresso with foam milk) and Turkish coffee.

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Baba On Central is open from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Wednesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
