A new tiki bar has opened for business in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Downtown, called Skull & Crown Trading Company, is located at 62 N. Hotel St.
The business offers tropical cocktails and island-inspired bites in a traditional tiki setting. According to Honolulu Magazine, the cocktail list includes a Mai Tai, Old Fashioned, Pineapple Dole Whip Rum Float and the signature drink, Skull & Crown, which is served in a flaming ceramic skull.
The food menu includes oysters, lamb, lemongrass chicken and minced beef skewers, duck bao, hummus and more.
The tiki bar has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.
Larry F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 24, wrote, "I am a real tikiphile and this place is legit. The drinks were excellent (one of only a few places to get legit tiki cocktails on Oahu), and these rank highly both in ingredients and flavors."
Yelper Krysten I. added, “The decor is phenomenal. Every other table of people had something to say about how this bar reminds them of Waikiki in the '70s. It was really cool to feel like I had been transported to another time."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Skull & Crown Trading Company is open from 6–10 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 6 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
