Port Morris gets a new spot: Bricks & Hops Beer GardenPhoto: Jonas S./Yelp

A new beer garden has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Bricks & Hops Beer Garden, the fresh arrival is located at 65 Bruckner Blvd. in Port Morris, in the Bronx.

The business offers 20 American craft beers on tap and more than a dozen different bottles and cans. If beer isn't your thing, consider one of the signature cocktails, like sangria spiked with Hennessy or the Rum Bustelo, made with Jamaican rum, Bacardi and coffee. There's also a full menu of pub grub, like hot wings, burgers and pretzel bites with cheddar cheese, as well as salads and vegan options. Stop in on a weekday for happy hour specials.

The new addition has made a decent impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp, and it's still early days.

Amy H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 1, wrote, "This place has great decor. The backyard is amazing. I hope this place sticks, and I definitely recommend it."

And Elizabeth C. wrote, "I visited yesterday for the first time. The spot is pretty nice. I will definitely visit again."

Bricks & Hops Beer Garden is open from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. on Sunday-Thursday and from 4 p.m.-3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
