Ellis Elementary School also saw improvement in its overall rating, from C+ to B-. The school is located at 2601 Shadow Ridge Drive and has 671 students currently enrolled, of whom 50% identify as black and 34% identify as Hispanic.

Niche graded Ellis Elementary School a C+ for academics on an A-D scale. Its latest math proficiency was at 72%, and reading proficiency was 64%. 

While some public elementary schools in Arlington are moving up the ranks, others are consistently top-rated overall, including:

  • Viridian Elementary School, with an overall rating of A.
  • Ditto Elementary School, with an A- rating overall.
  • Duff Elementary School, rated A- overall.
