Looking to chow down on some ice cream? Ample Hills Creamery has added a new location at 1 Water St. in Dumbo.
As we previously reported, this new outpost of the Brooklyn-based creamery took over the fire boat house location of the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. Although it has scoop shops around the New York City region, Ample Hills considers this new spot its Brooklyn flagship location.
Ample Hills Creamery offers a wide variety of homemade ice cream and other frozen desserts. Check out flavors like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, Dreamsicle and Strawberries and Cream, as well as the shop-specific flavor I Contain Breakfast Foods, which is sweet cream ice cream blended with coffee cake and doughnuts. There is a selection of non-dairy sorbets, too, like mango and Ode to Joy, a coconut sorbet with vegan almond brownie pieces.
The new locale has garnered solid reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.
Kelly C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 7, wrote, "The best possible upgrade from Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. This Ample Hills is a prime ice cream-eating location right by the water."
And Brittney R. noted, "Stopped in for some late ice cream treats and thoroughly enjoyed. I tried the vanilla bean in a cup. It was delicious!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Ample Hills Creamery is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.–midnight on Friday-Sunday.
