Major came to us in terrible condition — he was filthy, dirty, dehydrate and exhausted. He clearly was not well cared for as opposed to being lost for a long time. He is easy going and a tad fearful of new situations, so we are taking his new life with him slowly and he is really enjoying a normal doggy life.

Mac is a gentle and sweet male Boxer mix. He is very docile, smart and easygoing. This poor guy was abandoned at a McDonald's (hence his name) with one of his toys. Yep, left in the parking lot to fend for himself. So, a good samaritan was able to apprehend him and get him to safety.

Toby is an adorable 18-pound, red and white Basenji mix with very distinctive ears. He came to ARF from a shelter in Fort Smith after being rescued as an unclaimed stray. This sweet guy had a tough time coping with anxiety, and spent time in the medical unit because he was so scared. He is doing extremely well in a foster home after being given a chance to adjust at his own pace. He is housetrained, with a few accidents here and there. He is crate trained at night, and rests quietly when his crate is covered. Toby loves being around other dogs. He is energetic and playful, but also submissive.
