On the menu, expect to find authentic island dishes like teriyaki pork, slow-cooked kalua pig and the double-fried rice loco — a concoction of fried rice, hamburger patties, eggs, gravy and mac salad. Side orders include spam, french fries and tossed greens.
The new addition has gotten good reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.
Ryan O., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Aug. 5, wrote, “The fried rice is amazing but the Laulau is where it's at. [It's a] super friendly, family-owned-and-operated restaurant. They sit with you, talk and just hear your day.”
And Lynne I. wrote, "All the dishes we had, from fried rice, chicken katsu, yakitori chicken, chicken cutlet and Teri beef, were very tasty and flavorful. Service was excellent and down to earth as they really care that you are enjoying your meal."
